I am kaithelifelover and this is my blog.
I have decided to do a few things differently this year as part of my resolutions. Unlike the “Resolution Crowd” (you know, those peeps who make resolutions on the very first [or last] day of the year), I actually think about what my new year’s resolution will be weeks in advance. This way, I can come up with a solid plan on how I’m going to change myself in the new year and if I fail, it won’t be in February or because I had no idea where to start. I have tried that tact before and it didn’t work. I think I’ll have a better chance this way.
So, this is now 2017 and here are my resolutions:
- To be more courageous – Now, One thing about me is that in brand new company, I’m really very shy. My usual tactic is to befriend one person (preferably the most social one; they are the easiest to get along with) and they will introduce me to their friends. It becomes a win-win since this is a comfortable way to make friends, but I also want to challenge myself to take a few risks.
- To get healthy – (cue the facepalms at my cliché) Okay, so this one isn’t exactly original and I have tried it a couple of times over the years to no avail. Still, there’s no harm in trying again. I have a new diet plan (Whole30) which on any other day would look really ridiculous to me, but so far, I have completed two days with no issues (aside from a serious bread craving). I’ll see how well I do by the end of the week. That aside, I’m looking into joining FitGirl and seeing how far I can make it with that. I have set a target weight and a target date: My birthday in August. I really, really, REALLY want this so I guess I owe it to myself to give myself weight loss for my birthday 🙂 And I’ve added this hottie on my phone as an extra added incentive:
So, here I am and this is my blog. I’m waving goodbye to the year of blue and water and looking forward to the year of green and chocolate. Happy 2017 everyone! God Bless!
